Private Lessons

60-minute trumpet lessons: $80/lesson (no fee for cancellations) or $250/monthly rate (no refunds for cancellations and no makeups unless I receive one week’s advance notice)

30-minute trumpet lessons: $50/lesson or $165/monthly rate (see cancellation policies listed above)

If my own schedule necessitates a cancellation, I will make every effort to make up the missed lesson. Payment is due at the time of the lesson or on the first lesson of the month.

Unlimited trumpet lessons: $275/monthly rate (available only to select students)

This lesson package is available to pre-professional students (i.e. college-aged students who are in between degrees or working through embouchure changes). The fee is due within the first five days of the month unless prior arrangements have been made and includes unlimited lessons during the following thirty days. Note that this arrangement is available only to adult (18 years or older) students who are seeking a career in music.

Tutoring in music theory: $40/hour, or $100/week if requesting three sessions per week

Performing

Weddings

Taps

I do not charge for performances of Taps.

Funerals

I charge a flat fee of $200 to perform music other than Taps in funeral or memorial services, but I will discount this rate to $150 if I receive more than two weeks’ notice. (The higher rate is reflective of the fact that the suddenness of these events means I will almost certainly need to cancel other work to make the service.) If it will be necessary for me to supply my own pianist or organist, please be prepared to pay an extra $30 booking fee, plus that musician’s rate. I regret that, as a predominantly classical trumpet player, I am unable to accommodate requests for “New Orleans Style” funeral music.

Other Occasions

The trumpet is unique in its involvement with the highs and lows of human life. If you have a special occasion that might be enhanced by a trumpet soloist, please send me an email! I am confident that we can work something out.
